Abstract
Ultrasound was used to diagnose and demonstrate an anterior abdominal wall abscess of unknown cause in a diabetic woman. This condition may mimic major abdominal disorders and, in our patient, appeared as acute cholecystitis. The use of ultrasound is simple, quick, painless, and without known adverse side effects. The diagnosis may be more easily and accurately established than by routine roentgenography. Keywords
