Abstract
In a series of semi-commercial tests on control of the European corn borer, Pyrausta nubilalis, in dent corn in Illinois by means of aerial and ground applications of DDT dusts and emul-sifiable concentrates the authors report that ground machinery appears to give better control than airplane applications and that sprays are possibly better than dry dusts. Cost of application per acre varied from $1.75 to $3.50 for materials and labor. Keywords
