Abstract
The principle aim in art therapy is to assist patients towards a better understanding of their situation. A case study shows how the role of the therapist is less that of a teacher and more one of questioning companion. It is hoped that this approach will be increasingly recognized as having a valuable part to play in palliative care. Keywords
