Abstract
A study was performed to predict the average level of spectral amplitude distribution of sferics over the frequency range from 1 kHz to 10 GHz. The effort includes the compilation and analysis of available sferic measurements. Since no reliable data were available in the literature for frequencies above 1 GHz, a theoretical analysis of lightning streamers was conducted to predict the spectral distribution up to 10 GHz.Keywords
