The electroforming of iron foil

Abstract
A process for the high‐speed electroforming of iron foil is described. The electrolyte can be operated over a current density range of 10–100 A dm−2. The quality of the electroformed iron foil is dependent upon process variables, and in terms of its main mechanical, electrical and magnetic properties, is comparable with that of many conventionally‐produced metal foils.
