Association effects in adsorption from multicomponent solutions on solids and liquid adsorption chromatography

Abstract
The theory of adsorption from multicomponent liquid mixtures on heterogeneous solid surfaces involving association of components in the bulk phase is developed. This theoretical treatment is applied to describing liquid adsorption chromatography with a mixed mobile phase. The influence of association of molecules in the bulk phase on the distribution coefficient is studied.
