Abstract
Eugenol-baited sticky traps for adult Diabrotica barberi Smith and Lawrence exposed outside of cornfields were most attractive when painted yellow and placed 0 to 0.25 m above ground. A single such trap (2.8 by 25 em) exposed for 2 days during late August captured 211 beetles, >1.5 beetles per cm2 of trap area per day. These results suggest that eugenol-baited sticky traps could be simply and inexpensively used to monitor populations of D. barberi. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
