Autoradiography of Carbon-14 Labeled Isoniazid in Brain.

Abstract
Autoradiograms of slices of brain tissue containing C-14 labeled isoniazid show that the major portion of the activity is in the gray matter. Frozen slices of previously perfused brain were placed on a glass slide and inverted over Kodak No-Screen X-ray film protected with a 1/4 mil Mylar membrane. Apposition of the frozen tissue to the emulsion was accomplished with foam rubber inserts, and the entire unit was sealed in black, light-tight plastic slide boxes. After allowing 30 days for exposure in a deep freeze, the autograms were visualized and the tissues fixed for histologic study. Supportive data obtained by direct plating of dissected tissues are included.
