Abstract
Trends of skin cancer incidence by histotype in the Swiss Canton of Vaud (608 000 inhabitants) between 1976 and 1992 were updated on the basis of 6720 further skin cancers registered over the period 1993–1998. Trends in the last period were downwards for squamous cell carcinoma in both sexes, still on the rise for xy basal cell carcinoma, and levelled off for malignant melanoma in females. Keywords
