Spin and Parity Assignment for the 872-keV Level inGa69

Abstract
We have investigated the decays of 58-min Zn69g and 14-h Zn69m with a 30-cm3 Ge(Li) detector. In addition to the 438.6-keV isomeric transition in Zn69, γ rays of energies 318.6, 574.3, and 872.5 keV were observed. These γ rays have been incorporated into the known level scheme of Ga69. Our studies show that the β feeding to the 872-keV level in Ga69 is from the ½, Zn69 ground state and not from the 92+, Zn69 metastable state as has been reported. The present results are consistent with a 32 assignment for the 872-keV level.
