Abstract
The 2nd and 3rd stage larvae of C. cirratus from the submucous membrane of cod fish are described for the 1st time, and the possibilities of the direct life cycle of C. cirratus are discussed. The scheme of the life cycle of C. cirratus is outlined. Eggs come out into water with host feces at the 2-4 blastomeres stage. After 10-14 days the Ist stage larva hatches; after 4-5 days the 1st stage larva converts into the 2nd stage by undergoing the first molt. With food, the 2nd stage larva enters the stomach of cod fish. There it penetrates the submucous membrane of the stomach and converts into the 3rd stage larva, which migrates into the intestine where it undergoes the 3rd and 4th molts and reaches the adult stage.
