Determination of organochlorine compounds in waste water samples by gas chromatography and gas chromatography?mass spectrometry using capillary columns

Abstract
Capillary column gas chromatography has been compared with packed column procedures for the analysis of polychlorinated biphenyls and organochlorine insecticides in sewage and sewage sludge. The range of application, performance characteristics and sensitivity of the capillary column procedure have been evaluated and the application of this method to the analysis of environmental samples by both gas chromatography and gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry has been assessed.
