Abstract
The Steady-State Water Chemistry Model was applied to lakes in 5 regions in Ontario, Canada. Critical loads and exceedances calculated for the regions indicate that the portion of the lakes with exceedances dropped from 65-70% 20 years ago to 8-18% in the late 1990's. Detailed long-term information collected for 8 lakes was used to assess a number of the assumptions in the modelKeywords
