Abstract
Electrolytic free convection in the presence of vertical and horizontal magnetic fields, originating at inclined cylindrical cathodes, was studied via an analytical‐indicator visualization technique. The magnetic field effect, acceleration of convective flow and reduction of the time required for full propagation within the electrolytic cell, is interpreted quantitatively via statistical regression between full propagation time and the magnetic field strength.
