Abstract
We show that the Adler PCAC (partial conservation of axial-vector current) condition requires a Reggeon intercept within a broad class of multiperipheral models at the planar and cylinder levels. In the planar approximation this is closely related to the cancellation of the Reggeon-Reggeon cut.
