Abstract
The development of bacteriostatic properties in the blood of patients following recovery from streptococcal pharyngitis due to a single type of Group A hemolytic streptococcus, type 36 is reported. This property persisted for many mos. It developed irrespective of whether the symptoms caused by the pharyngitis were mild or severe and occurred both in patients who escaped and those who developed rheumatic sequelae. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
