Abstract
A variational calculation for the (ddμ muon molecular ion has been carried out. Muon-helium sticking probabilities are obtained for the (J=1, ν=0) and (J=1, ν=1) states. Despite the very different method used for the three-body wave-function calculation, the present sticking probabilities agree within 2.5% with a previous calculation which uses the adiabatic representation three-body wave function.
