Abstract
A technique is presented for the examination of lipids in quantities of 10-2 [mu]moles by means of spot tests applied to filter-paper chromatograms. This technique permits the separation and characterization of lipid mixtures both in tissue extracts and in separated lipids. It has become evident that several plasmalogens, detected by their elution characteristics, are present as constituents both of separated lipids and of tissues. Keywords
