Abstract
Twenty-five patients with lupus erythematosus were phototested using a modification of the repeat exposure technique. Abnormal morphological and histological responses were reproduced in five of nine cases with past histories of clinical sun sensitivity. No positive reactions occurred in the other 16 clinically nonphotosensitive patients. The action spectrum in our study was confined to rays shorter than 3,200 A. No reactions occurred to longer wave lengths. Keywords
