Transplantation of a Kidney from a Patient with Idiopathic Hypercalciuria

Abstract
CONTROVERSY exists concerning the nature of the defect in idiopathic hypercalciuria. Whether the hypercalciuria represents inability of the kidney to conserve calcium or is a manifestation of excessive gastrointestinal absorption of calcium has never been completely resolved.
