Absolute measurement of the photoionization cross section for ground-state cesium atoms

Abstract
Measurements of the absolute cross section for the photoionization of cesium atoms near threshold are reported. The results agree well with recent model potential calculations and are approximately a factor of 2 smaller than earlier experimental results.Keywords
