Abstract
Two methods were used to determine mean volumes of cells of Escherichia coli B/rA in both stationary- and exponential-phase cultures, i.e., electronic measurement with a Coulter Counter-Analyzer system and biophysical measurement of the total volume and number of cells in sedimented cell pellets. Within experimental errors, the methods gave the same mean cell volumes. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
