Nonperturbative approach to Yang-Mills theories in the continuum. II. Considerations away from strong coupling

Abstract
We confront the general problem posed by nonperturbative calculations in non-Abelian gauge theories, pertaining to the Wilson loop operator, away from strong coupling. We adopt a nonperturbatively regularized formulation of Yang-Mills theories in the continuum which has already been discussed in the preceding paper. We study, in particular, Yang-Mills duality, within our regularized context, with respect to the full SU(N) group and not simply its center ZN. We further show that, from the present viewpoint, duality emerges through a distinction between the regularization length on one hand and the scale by which the Yang-Mills system is observed on the other. Finally, we are able to derive a Makeenko-Migdal-type equation for finite N.
