Abstract
N balance was maintained in [female] dogs by a min. daily intraven. inj. of 120 mg./N/kg. in the form of complete hydrolysates of casein fortified with trypto-phane and cysteine monohydrochloride monohydrate. Partial acid hydrolysates, in which only 1/3 of the amino acids existed in the free state, produced N balance at the same level when similarly fortified and administered. Hence the peptide N was apparently available. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
