Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 30-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of cough, dyspnea, and weight loss.He was well until three weeks earlier, when he had a brief illness characterized by fever and malaise; the illness was followed by increasing malaise and marked fatigue. Two weeks before admission the patient became bedridden because of severe weakness. Dyspnea appeared and worsened progressively. During the week before entry a cough developed and was productive of thick yellow to brown sputum, with myalgia and diarrhea. He was admitted to the hospital.The patient was single and lived alone.
