Abstract
Twelve stutterers recited 10-syllable sentences from memory after conditions of silent rehearsal, lipped rehearsal, whispered rehearsal, aloud rehearsal, and no rehearsal. Frequency of stuttering was judged from tape recordings. Results showed that oral recitations following aloud rehearsal had fewer stutterings than under any other conditions. Keywords
