Abstract
Vacuum is derived from the Latin word vacuus meaning empty. Absolute vacuum, a space entirely devoid of matter, is a theoretical concept only, never fully achieved by man or Nature. In modern usage, the word vacuum applies to any space at less than atmospheric pressure.Keywords
