Abstract
Eggs were obtained from the oriental fruit fly, Dacus dorsalis Hendel; the melon fly, D. cucurbitae Coquillett; and the Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann), by holding individual females in 1-oz plastic cups with perforated tops and bottoms, that were then nestled in a 2nd cup containing the oviposition stimulus on a piece of blotting paper. A piece of cube sugar, a smear of protein hydrolysate, and a cord leading to a water reservoir provided food and water. Each rack held 10 cages around a water reservoir. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
