Abstract
Expts. on 59 chicks showed that in newly hatched animals synthetic [male] hormone will cause: stunting of body growth, lighter wt. than controls, lowered resistance to cold, increased size of combs and wattles and cock-like behavior of crowing and wing-flapping. Admin, of [male] sex substance to [female] chicks resulted in pronounced growth of combs and wattles, and in wt. changes, but no crowing or wing-flapping occurred. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
