Abstract
A 14-month-old boy was seen following an accidental electrical injury received from a faulty domestic appliance. After initially showing marked clinical and electroencephalographic signs of cerebral damage, after one month there was a dramatic and continued improvement in both motor and sensory function. The importance of prolonged and optimistic resuscitation is stressed. Keywords
