Parents and the Home Program Approach in the Remediation of Learning Disabilities

Abstract
This article discusses some of the difficulties involved in implementing home programs for children with learning disabilities. Types of families which do not lend themselves to the home program approach are described. The reasons for the frequent failures of such families to profitably complete a home program are discussed. Professional personnel need to consider a number of variables before deciding to utilize a home program.
