Abstract
The visible and near infrared refractive index spectra in YSmLuCaFeGe garnet films obtained from the results of guided surface wave experiments at 1152 and 633 nm and from reflection interference spectroscopy at angles of incidence ranging from 5 to 55° are reported. The data were fitted to a two-term oscillator expression. The effect of the film absorption and that of the interface layers on both sides of the film on the calculated values of the refractive index and the thickness of the film are discussed. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
