Abstract
An annular magnet has been used to determine the difference in energy of the particles from the and reactions. These energies have been measured through a direct comparison with the alpha-particles from polonium, and they serve to determine the energy of the level in excited in these processes. The values obtained are 482±3 kev for the reaction and 483±6 kev for the reaction.
