Abstract
The rate of absorption of phenol red and sodium in-digotate in man from (a) normal tunica vaginalis testis, (b) idiopathic hydrocele, (c) spermatocele, was studied by injecting these dyes and observing the excretion in the urine. Absorption of the dyes from the normal tunica vaginalis is slower than from any serous cavity yet studied, and absorption from hydroceles is much slower than from the normal membrane, confirming results of Torraca. Absorption from spermatoceles is considerably more rapid than from these other membranes, but is not so rapid as from subcutaneous tissue of scrotum. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
