Abstract
The phase transition of pyrochlore structure in Bi2O3-ZnO-Nb2O5 system was investigated. Samples of compositions (Bi3x. Zn2–3x)(Zn x Nb2-x)O7(0.4≥.x≥0.67) were prepared by solid state reaction method. Quenching technique and X-ray diffraction technique were used to determine the cubic α and monoclinic β pyrochlore phase and α-β transition. The influence of calcining temperature and calcining time on the pyrochlore formation was studied. The α-β phase transition mechanism was discussed. Keywords
