Abstract
A numericlature is described that is based on a descriptive numerical code associated with a predetermined set of morphological and physiological characters of cyanobacterial cultures. The code has many advantages over the use of binomials and other coding systems. It is governed by fewer and simpler rules and, as it is based on the characteristics of the organisms, it will not alter if the classification of the organisms changes. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
