Abstract
Evidence is presented from many sources for the occurrence of very high transverse momenta at energies above 1014 eV. These very high transverse momenta indicate the operation of a super-strong force. Detailed results are given of the last three years of operation of the Sydney 64-scintillator array and of Monte Carlo simulations of air showers. These are compared with the authors' earlier results and the results of other groups from 1953-70.Keywords
