Abstract
Part of the extensive negative-ion/molecule reaction scheme in SF6 due to O'Neill and Craggs (1973) has been applied to the analysis of measured ion transients as derived from the pulsed Townsend method over the range 21223 m-3. Relevant data obtained from this study are the charge transfer coefficients, which are in good agreement with those of McGeehan et al. (1975) for the reaction SF6-+SF6 to SF6-. Also the 'apparent' reduced mobilities of these two ions, and the ionisation and attachment coefficients are reported. Keywords
