Abstract
Of the 92 spp., vars. and forms listed 11 are described as new. All spp. of the genus Euastrum seen by the authors and those previously reported from the area are included and practically all are illustrated. Spp. which have not been described in modern literature are here redescribed. Distribution data are given for all plants collected by the authors, together with critical remarks.
