Abstract
An anatomo-histopathologic classification of specific and nonspecific inflammatory processes of the middle ear leading to tympanosclerosis is presented in patients. The sequelae to otomastoiditis or cholesteatoma are discussed including pseudo-otosclerosis and fixation of the mallear head syndrome. Otomicroscopy, audiometric tests, roentgenography and tomography of the tympanic cavity and mastoid are suggested for diagnostic evaluation. This publication has 40 references indexed in Scilit:
