Abstract
Synthesized amphiploid strains derived from an intermediate punctata-eichingeri strain (2x, CC, W1525) .times. O. punctata (2x, W1514) and O. punctata (2x, W1515) .times. O. collina (2x, CC, W0006) were crossed with strains having the BBCC genomes. The number of bivalent per cell at MI [metaphase I] of the tetraploid F1 hybrids (KB-lines) was 20-24 with a mean of 22.3 or 23.3. The diploid punctata strains probably served as the donor of the B genome for the species having the B and C genomes. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
