Abstract
To the Editor: It has been suggested that patients with blood-Group B antigen are poor candidates for cardiac transplantation.1 An analysis of survival among patients receiving cardiac transplants at Johns Hopkins Hospital between July 1983 and February 1987 does not support this finding. Furthermore, the statistical analysis in the earlier study was based on the Student t-test for unpaired data; the correct statistical test is the Wilcoxon or Breslow test.2 This takes into consideration the facts that in some patients follow-up has been limited and entry into the study has occurred later.At our hospital, 68 orthotopic cardiac transplantations have . . .Keywords
