Abstract
We develop the kinematics for - elastic scattering and determine the asymptotic behavior of the invariant amplitudes assuming (a) Regge behavior and (b) a Froissart bound. The corresponding sum rules are written down and an approximate saturation with a few low-lying single-particle states is attempted. In general, such saturation is not obtained.
