Subtler Organic Factors in Behavior Disorders of Childhood: Follow-up Studies

Abstract
Minimal, subtle organic dysfunctions of the nervous system are often overlooked as primary causes of behavior and school problems. This is particularly true at the higher intellectual levels. The diagnosis of these disorders is presented in some detail, and they are differentiated from purely emotional cases. Some revision of the usual psychodynamic formulations is indicated. The proper understanding of these cases is important since reasonable and helpful programs of treatment are available.
