Tunable coupling of superconducting qubits
Abstract
We study an LC-circuit implemented using a current-biased Josephson junction as a device for tunable coupling of superconducting qubits. By modulating the bias current, the junction can be tuned in and out of resonance and entangled with the qubits coupled to it. The approach can be used to implement two-qubit logical operations by mediating qubit-qubit entanglement. We consider the examples of current-biased Josephson junction and Saclay-type qubits. A simple recoupling scheme is used to generalize this approach to arbitrary qubit designs. Keywords
