A New Species of Leech, Batracobdella cryptobranchii n. sp. (Annelida: Hirudinea), Parasitic on the Ozark Hellbender

Abstract
B. cryptobranchii sp. nov. parasitic on Ozark hellbenders, Cryptobranchus alleganiensis bishopi, is found in the North Fork of the White River, Ozark County, in Missouri [USA]. B. cryptobranchii reaches a length of 17 mm; dorsum is smooth; color pattern or metameric markings are absent. The anus opens dorsally with 2 postanal annuli. The caudal sucker is circular, directed ventrally and is distinct from the body on a very short pedicel. Gonopores are separated by 2 annuli.
