Abstract
A novel and simple method using the photopyroelectric effect is described for the measurement of the thermal diffusivity of solids. The method is used in the case of metals, semiconductors, and insulators, covering several orders of magnitude in thermal diffusivity. It has advantages over conventional thermal wave spectroscopic methods. Keywords
