The pathogen of chick-pea wilt, F. oxysporum f. sp. ciceri, was transmitted internally through seeds of chick-pea [Cicer arietinum cv. ''JG-62'', ''Chafa'' and ''P-436''] collected from diseased plants. The fungus was found in the hilum region. Seed treatment with Benlate T (benomyl and thiram) eradicated the pathogen.
