Abstract
A method using gas-liquid chromatography for the determination of the major urinary 17-ketosteroids, androsterone, etiocholanolone and dehydroepiandrosterone, is described. Following hydrolysis of the urinary conjugates, the ketosteroids are chromatographed on thin-layer silica gel. After elution, the trimethylsilyl ethers are formed, separated and quantitated by gas-liquid chromatography. The method has high accuracy, reproducibility, speed and simplicity. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
