Abstract
The phenomenological assumption is made that the electric dipole operators at infinite momentum have components both in the (8, 1) and (1, 8) representation of the collinear group and in the (3, 3*) and (3*, 3) representation. Under this assumption, the algebra of dipoles, in the usual configuration mixing scheme, provides very accurate relations for the baryon magnetic moments and charge radii. The over-all scheme seems thus capable of consistent predictions for all low-energy baryon parameters. Keywords
